I would like to say, for the record, that I am not a fan of liquid body washes. I enjoy lathering up a bar of soap and rubbin' myself down. I don't particularly care for the little bath puffs, and I worry that the liquid will wind up washing me unevenly, and I'll have extra soapy spots and not enough clean spots.
I do, like the rest of us, have very hard water. And bar soap does not rinse as cleanly as I'd like, regardless of how much I rinse and rinse. So a friend reccomended I use Dial Mosturizing Body Wash.
When got to the store I realized that there were about 10 bazillion different kinds of dial liquid washes. I decided to go with Mountain Fresh Dial Antibacterial. It's purple. The bottle also says that it's "clean rinsing" which peaked my interest. They didn't have vanilla, which made me sad, but you can only get so much variety in soap.
This morning before my shower I grabbed the huge bottle, and my shower puff on a stick (It's designed for getting all your backside areas). I lathered up and washed all my outer bits. It smelled nice, but not overpowering, and it seemed to rinse easily. I poured a little out onto my hand and lathered that up to get into my crevice bits. It took a few tries to get the appropriate level of lather, but I think we all have to learn that with any method of soap we use.
Now the true test was drying off after my shower. I got a fresh towel just in case some hard water residue was lingering on the one I used yesterday. I dried off and went to my computer to type this review. I always notice the hard water residue most when I type after my shower.
I have to say, I feel pretty clean. My hands still feel a little residuey, but nothing compared to how they usually feel. My limbs and joints are happily hard water free. After a few minutes I moved onto lotion, feeling good about my purchase, and feeling like I have a new alternatiive to getting a water softener for my entire condo, which is not cheap.
BTW, the bottle which is 18 oz cost $5.49. I cannot estimate if this is going to last me longer than a package of bar soaps with the equivelent cost, or not. I know that my one shower made no visible dent in the soap.
