FYI, up until now I've been "reviewing" the Sandman series as I go in my LJ, you can search through my archives for them if you'd like.
It seemed MUCH longer than any book up until this point. I haven't bothered to check and see if it actually was.
All but two of the issues were different stories completely, so it felt a little disjointed. I prefer when he weaves a similar plot devise throughout the entire book.
Overall it was good, though. I'm looking foward to reading the next one.
I've been told that after book 7 I should read Furies. I guess they pop up a lot in book 8 and 9, and it will help my understanding of them. After I'm done with Sandman I can read Death (I'm also looking forward to) and then the new book, Endless Nights. BTW, I've heard something about that... Despair. If you're likely to be impacted by despair, don't read it. Even if you're not, don't read it before bed.
