Vintage - Homicide - I, II, III, IV, and V

I will slowly be adding new "Vintage" fiction and poetry to Modern Evil, as I get it re-typed. Every "Vintage" piece is from my high school years (or thereabouts), and as made available here is transcribed word-for-word from my originals (with spelling corrected where appropriate), retaining the initial creations in all their inexperienced glory. Future editions may be edited, but the "Vintage" editions will always retain the quality and content of the originals.

You may purchase the entire "Vintage" collection at once (over 10 short stories and over 40 poems) with the following link:

This "Vintage" is a series of five poems I wrote after my Suicide series of poems, but about Homicide. Most are in second person pespective. The first is featured below. Each poem is the same length, and the set costs twelve cents:

Homicide - I

You raise the axe above your head, And even though you know he's dead, You swing the axe towards his head, And make a little splash of red.

But now you set your axe aside,
And reach your cupped hand deep inside.
You eat a handful of his brain,
And know that he can feel no pain.

You rip his heart free of his chest,
And as you have done to the rest,
You place it in a small glass box,
Held shut with small and golden locks.

You put six bodies in your Jeep,
Then pile the bodies in a heap,
And then you pour on gasoline,
So that the corpses will burn clean.

You light the flame and step aside,
And watch the fire you cannot hide.
The rising smoke soon lets you know,
That it is now your time to go.

So now you quickly drive away,
For in this town you cannot stay,
Because of acts that you have done,
For the six trophies you have won.

The kid should seriously put up the 12 cents and read all 5 poems. They're remarkable.

Seriously though, anyone wonder what her search terms must have been? Or how blind she must be to click a link that contained the words "Modern Evil", "Poetry" and "Homicide" in addition to its matching whatever else she was searching for, and then be upset by what she found? That's like all the people who click links with "Fuck Yourself To Hell" in them who proceed to get upset by the fact that the words "Fuck Yourself To Hell" appear on the page into which they clicked.

Sigh.
